American Capitalism Survives For One More Day...

Good news...so far so good...! Michelle Malkin was keeping watch over the proceedings tonight, and finishes up with these entries:

Update: 6:15pm Eastern…Reid on floor…will work into night…”I don’t have 60 votes yet…we should outlaw polls…” Yeah, damn those polls when they don’t go your way.

Update: 9:00pm Eastern. Reid calls it quits for the night!

This is most excellent news! Speaking for myself, I was unable to get through to the Washington switchboard (or the direct numbers) for most of the day today, so apparently the phone lines really were burning up with anger. Keep it coming!

Start dialing first thing in the morning, because you know that there's some serious arm-twisting going on behind closed doors tonight. Let's put on the full court press in the morning - hit 'em early and hit 'em hard!

In the interest of not being the party of just-plain-no, I'll post a brilliant alternative plan later tonight so that when you call in the morning you'll be armed with both some strong opposition and a viable alternative. Stay tuned...
