Gellar hit on a lot of red meat in this interview:
- the panic and hysteria has been killing the travel industry, which is the third largest retail industry in America
- this hysteria has doubled the number of lost jobs in this particular company
- the jobs that get cut are the low-paying ones, the minimum wage ones
- many of those who keep their jobs still lose hours
- unintended consequences are running rampant upon those that are supposed to be helped by the rhetoric
Geller is diplomatic enough that he grudgingly calls it a bipartisan doing (isn't it nice that the CNBC anchors helpfully badger Geller to give the answer they want to hear?). However, let me remind you of the most high-profile spinster of panic:
Now, could someone help me understand how Obama's plan to panic America into accepting his vision of socialism is going to create or save jobs? Once again, real life shows us that his policies are doing the exact opposite - they're declaring war on American prosperity.
There's my two cents.
