More Muslim Rage Over Cartoons (Are We Really Surprised?)

Radical Muslims are still spitting nails and threatening death over cartoons.

Last month Danish police arrested three Muslims who were plotting to kill one of the men responsible for a cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb on his head two years ago.  The difference now is that it seems even Europe has had enough.  In the days after the arrests, numerous outlets printed the cartoons (some that had refused to print them when the original kerfuffle broke out), showing surprising defiance of the predictable Muslim outrage.  But it didn't stop there.  Denmark's foreign minister stated his reluctance to continue putting Danish troops in harm's way in Afghanistan to support a country "where one is at risk to be condemned to death for values that we believe to be an inseparable part of democracy and the modern world."  It appears the beginnings of a spine is quietly growing outside of Denmark here and there, too.

Even Osama bin Laden appeared to get in on the act with a newly released audio tape threatening violence in retribution to the cartoon, as well as threatening Pope Benedict.  Some believe the audio tape is simply an old recording, though, rather than a new message.  More info here.

Regardless, you can expect a new round of Muslim rage at the upcoming release of Geert Wilders' anti-Islam film.  Some fear the film could lead to massive bloodshed around the world.  Given their track record of hysterical, unreasoning violence at the slightest perceived insult, that would not be a surprise.  I just hope that people all around the world finally wake up and realize the scam that is Islam - after all, if this truly is the 'religion of peace', how can they possibly justify mass murder and destruction due to an unflattering film?  Christians take far worse than that on a daily basis, and I can't recall the last time we went on a killing rampage.

The real surprise would be if Leftists and other Islam enablers actually opened their eyes.  I'm not holding my breath.

There's my two cents.
