Obama's Racist Pastor

Well, you may have heard this already, but Barack Obama seems to be having a problem with his hate-mongering, racist pastor. The Reverend Jeremiah Wright is quite open about hating America and preaching black supremacy, and he doesn't shy away from saying...well, anything. Some examples:

"God damn America...!" "US of KKK-A" "Clarence, Colin, and Condemnezza" "America's chickens are comin' home to roost" (meaning we're to blame for 9/11)

I'd be happy to hear from anyone who can find "God damn America" in the Bible, as Rev. Wright proclaims. Obama's 'distancing' remarks are just about the lamest rebuttals I've ever heard. If that's what he calls 'distancing', then he needs to consult a dictionary.

Or how about this one for the same old, tired line of hate America racism:

Once again, I wonder if Rev. Wright is reading the same Bible I am...would someone show me where Jesus was a black man? I haven't been officially ordained, of course, but my Bible says quite plainly that he was Jewish...

Some time ago, I blogged about how the Democrat party is going to have to decide which is worse: racism or feminism. Rev. Wright is sure ratcheting up the racism side of things. The silver lining is, of course, that he throws in quite a dash of class envy, too. I guess he's an equal opportunity hater.

Obama, of course, doesn't think Wright is controversial at all. He said Rev. Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with," telling a Jewish group that everyone has someone like that in their family.

Um, perhaps, but not everyone has someone in the family seeking to be the leader of the free world.

The news report above mentioned that Rev. Wright has now retired, but it appears that he has retired to serve on Obama's campaign advisory board. They say it's a largely honorary role, but if Obama was serious about bringing people together to unite America, wouldn't he be trying to put as much space as possible between himself and this clear racist-monger?

Oh, by the way, Rev. Wright also married Barack and Michelle, baptized their two daughters, and is credited with the title of Obama's book, 'The Audacity of Hope'. And, by all accounts, the Obamas carefully and deliberately selected Wright's church as their spiritual home around 20 years ago.

If you think that racism will be ended if Obama wins the White House in November, think again - if anything, it will only get worse! With friends like Rev. Wright, Obama will be hearing a constant drumbeat of America hatred and racial invective that won't be able to ignore...even if he wanted to.

There's my two cents.
