Obama Would...

When considering who to vote for in November, it's probably wise to think about what kinds of things the candidates might do once in office. Peter Kirsanow, a member of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, sheds some light on some things that Obama is likely to try to push through, and why the time is now:

Numerous civil-rights bills have either passed the House or are pending in various committees, just waiting for a Democrat to be elected to the White House. Traditional civil-rights groups anticipate that without the threat of veto, expanded Democratic majorities in Congress will pass a number of these bills in the first few months of 2009.

A summary (emphasis mine):

1. Commission to Study Reparations Proposals for African-Americans Act --- would pay blacks reparations for slavery

2. The Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act ("Akaka Bill") --- would allow Hawaii to form its own government, likely leading to its secession

3. The Guam World War II Loyalty Recognition Act --- would pay Guam residents for damage done in WWII at the hands of the Japanese (that's right, this isn't even from stuff done by Americans)

4. Fair Pay Act of 2007 --- would allow the federal government to set forth the race and sex of the employees [for any given occupation], their rates of pay, and how such pay scales were determined

5. Employment Non-Discrimination Act --- would prevent employment discrimination based on perceived gender identity, with little exception for religious employers

6. Local Law Enforcement Hate Crime Protection Act of 2007 --- would make federal crimes of certain violent conduct where such conduct is motivated by the actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability of the victim

7. Housing Fairness Act of 2007 --- would conduct a national testing program to detect, document, measure and assess the degree to which individual renters, home buyers, or mortgage borrowers are discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex, familial status, disability, or national origin

8. Ex-Offenders Voting Rights Act of 2007 --- would allow felons to vote

Did you get this?! In plain terms, here's my interpretation of what will happen if these bills become law:

1. you'll pay big bucks for crimes you didn't commit that occurred hundreds of years ago to people who were never wronged by those crimes

2. bye, bye, Hawaii

3. you'll pay big bucks for crimes no American ever committed

4. the government will dictate your salary, and whether or not you can have a job (or keep your current one) based on your race and gender

5. churches would be required to hire gays, lesbians, transvestites, etc., even though the church condemns such practices

6. if anyone
thinks you hate them, you can be accused of a federal hate crime (hello, thought police??)
7. the government will dictate who can live where

8. felons -- including murderers and rapists -- can legally (they already do, but it's not legal right now) vote for their favorite Democrats

And another fun thing...Barack Obama will implement slavery in the form of 'community service' for your kids. Add these things to his plans for the largest tax increases in history and his pledge to cozy up to America's enemies, and we are left with the inescapable conclusion that Barack Obama is clearly seeking to destroy America as it is today, and remake it into what he feels would be better - a socialist state with the government controlling every facet of your life.

Is this the America you want? If so, vote Obama.

Personally, this sounds more like the communist Soviet Union
waiting to happen...

There's my two cents.
