Not only does Reagan dismantle the socialized medicine argument, but he also does something else in the process. With the exception of just a few details, this message literally sounds like it could be spoken to the events of 2009, doesn't it? The fact that Ronald Reagan addresses this topic with such astounding clarity and precision over 40 years ago...well, this should put to rest any notion that the liberal Left will stop short of full-blown government health care.
This battle must be won, time and time again. By remembering who we are as Americans, what this great nation was built upon, and by going back to those foundations, we can do so.
