Update On New York Terrorist Plot

Some new information coming out about that potential New York terrorist attack sounds very serious:

I am not sure the media should be telegraphing the FBI moves ahead of time...but if this report is true....we could be looking at a second Madrid coming to a city near you.

Fearful of a Madrid-style subway train bombing, authorities are poised to make more raids to seize bomb-making materials at locations in Queens, sources said Wednesday.

The FBI's elite Hostage Rescue Squad arrived in New York in anticipation of the offensive to thwart a Denver-based terror cell with ties to Al Qaeda, police sources told the Daily News.

It gets worse..

Another source said an earlier raid uncovered nine backpacks and cell phones, raising memories of the March 2004 bombings in Madrid.

And then this...

Scores of FBI agents inundated Denver Tuesday as they closed the noose on what sources say is a five-man cabal with ties to World Trade Center mastermind Osama Bin Laden's terrorist group.

This is more serious then we are being led to believe....

In the car, sources said the feds found documents and papers about bomb-making and bombs.

Also, predictably, the imam of the mosque he went to:

"Islam is against terrorism. It is a religion of peace."

Nothing to see here folks, move along....

The man, whose name was withheld, had allegedly notified an imam that the FBI was looking for their Denver pal, and the Muslim leader, in turn, contacted the suspect's family to have them warn him.

Would this be the same ISLAMISARELGIONOFPEACE imam noted above I wonder?

I hope and pray that -- if this is true -- the authorities do, in fact, find and neutralize these bombs, and whatever else was a part of the attack.

Still, there is a lesson to be observed here: America is still under attack by enemies who hate us with a religious zeal simply for existing.  We cannot win the fight against them by negotiating, talking, or even sanctions.  We must be prepared to take the fight to them, to defeat them on the battlefield, and to impose our terms of peace on them after we've won.  There is no other way to achieve 'peace' with radical Islamic terrorists unless it is peace through strength of victory.  If we as a nation do not have the resolve to do that, the only alternative is to hope that you and your loved ones do not live in the city where their future attacks occur.  But you know what?  Continued inaction will result in continuing attacks, and at some point, they're going to get someone you know, if not you.

Unfortunately for us, Barack Obama is committed to inaction.  No, let me correct that.  He's committed to things that will actually encourage the terrorists: disarming America, begging for talks, importing terrorists into the U.S. from Gitmo, granting captured terrorists the same rights as full-fledged American citizens, and so on.  It's a recipe for death, destruction, and disaster.

The more successful his policies are on this front, the more dangerous our existence as American citizens becomes.
