About That Lobbyist Thing

Remember how Barack Obama made a big deal during the campaign about not using lobbyists, and then how he 'banned' lobbyists from his administration, except for the lobbyists that he hired anyway?

Well, guess what? Now the number of lobbyists sneaking around his lobbyist-free administration is pushing...[drum roll please]...50:

President Obama used his recess-appointment power to place four former federal lobbyists -- representing defense contractors and the agri-chemical industry among others -- in top policy jobs. Obama's maneuver dodges a Senate floor debate and sweeps under the rug an inauspicious milestone: The appointment of the 50th lobbyist to a policymaking job by a president who claims he's "excluded" them.

I'm shocked -- SHOCKED -- that he would appoint lobbyists to posts in his administration! I'm sure you are, too.
