Class At The Top

The Obamessiah campaign may very well have stepped on a final landmine with their continued mocking of Joe the Plumber. Watch:

Now isn't that classy? First of all, John McCain is fighting for plumbers, teachers, construction workers, and a whole lot of other working class people like you and me - he wants to keep taxes as low as possible on
everyone. Yes, that includes the 'rich', too, but it also includes the middle class and the so-called lower class, too. Obama shows his true colors by mocking that idea.

Perhaps even more disturbing is the fact that both Obama and Biden then ridicule the very idea that a mere plumber could possibly make $250,000. Not only is that insulting on its face, but it is also misrepresenting the facts - Joe the Plumber never said he was making $250,000, but said that he was considering buying a business that might put him into the $250,000+ income range. Isn't that the American dream? To build one's life around an expertise that provides a better lifestyle than one started out with? Isn't it a noble goal for a single father to try to provide a better life for his son?

The fact that Obama and Biden openly mock this man -- who is very representative of a
very large chunk of the American citizenry, and whose message resonates so thoroughly with that citizenry -- is to show just how elitist and out of touch they are. They are mocking and ridiculing the very middle class they seek to persuade to vote for them.

That is a very disturbing characteristic in the men who wish to lead this nation.

There's my two cents.
