On my way in to work this morning, I noticed that gas was $1.99/gallon! Awesome!
Of course, this doesn't change the fact that we need a comprehensive energy plan, including additional nuclear power, additional oil drilling, additional coal development, additional solar/wind/hydro power, etc. My concern is that people will stop worrying about energy just because gas prices have fallen. Just remember: what does down can also go up! It has before, and it will again, especially if we continue to rely on importing oil from hostile nations.
Of course, if the Dems get into power next week, I'm not going to hope for any meaningful change on American energy policy...
