A Couple Notes On Tomorrow

The Weekly Standard offers this on how to get the most out of your vote tomorrow:

Lest you find yourself discouraged about voting or worse, still undecided, on this the last day before the national election, here a few incentives for you to get out and make your vote count.

1. Free coffee at Starbucks. Starbucks locations nation-wide will be giving out free cups of regular coffee (tall, of course) to patrons who have voted.

2. Krispy Kreme is preparing special star-shaped Election Day donuts for each customer sporting an "I Voted" sticker.

3. And what Election Day would be complete without a free scoop of Ben & Jerry's ice cream ? Of course, good old Ben and Jerry don't want to "bribe" you to vote. They're celebrating democracy by giving free ice cream to all (but only between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m.).

So, get out there tomorrow. Join your friends and fellow Americans at the polling place and your neighborhood Starbucks. Vote, and then reward yourself. This is America after all, and tomorrow everyone (limited to those 18 years or older) will have free breakfast (void where prohibited, see participating stores for details).

If you successfully survive the lines at your voting place, then successfully ignore all the predictions of certain doom for McCain and erroneous reports on the hideously inaccurate exit polls throughout the evening, then successfully go to sleep tomorrow night, just be aware...it's not over.  The Obama campaign and the DNC are already preparing an onslaught of lawsuits to ensure they take back the White House:

The Obama campaign is pretty confident that Obama is going to win this election eventually – one way or another. But just in case the election is close, their plans are already in place. Should Obama lose there will be a whole lot of litigation in several, if not all, states.

The majority of Americans think he's going to win what with the multiple questionable polls designed to shape opinion, 90% of the media in the tank for him and telling us that he's winning, and the Obamanists threatening riots if he loses. Naturally many conservatives are more than a bit concerned.

The primary question conservatives are afraid to ask is "What if the election is very close and Obama wins, then what?"

Will the McCain campaign protest? Is there a cadre of thousands of lawyers ready to jump on the ACORN voter registration fraud issue, or the Obama campaign pre-paid credit card donation debacle, or the many suspected votes cast for Obama by non-citizens?

Obama and his "thousands of attorneys" have answers to all these "trumped-up" complaints by the GOP. The DNC has convinced the Kool-aid crowd that Bush stole the last two elections, and they aren't about the let that pass. I believe that the only clean, quick way to end this election is to have a McCain victory by a substantial margin, say 3 or 4 points.  If that happens, it will be fairly clear that the American people have spoken, and that the media have been carrying the water for Obama all along.  I'd love to see that happen, but I just don't know that it's realistic.  So, you'd better just mentally set yourself for a long, drawn-out legal battle that will dwarf Florida 2000's madness.  Throw in some race riots, and you'll begin to grasp what we're probably looking at.

Boy, I hope I'm wrong...
