Faster Than Usual

It's no secret that Barack Obama goes back on just about every promise he's made, but normally it takes longer than just a few minutes. Not any more:

Wow. The Obamessiah is outdoing even his normal pace to repudiate himself inside the duration of a single speech!

In all seriousness, here's a bit of analysis that's worth thinking about:

As infuriating as that was, you’ll find it twice as infuriating in context. This clip really is exactly as advertised, showcasing both the myth of Obama that the media’s happily carried forth and the reality of what kind of politician he is when his agenda’s threatened. Amazing that with his approval rating slipping and anger getting hotter every day, he’d still feel confident enough to contradict himself this blatantly in the same speech. It’s practically a taunt.

It's the same attitude that brought out the phrase "...if you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard..." in reference to American citizens simply wanting answers from their elected representatives. If you harbored any illusions as to the genuineness of Obama's desire to be a uniter or accomplish things in a bipartisan fashion, or that you can trust anything he says, this should shatter them.

Welcome to the Obama era.
