A Real Obamessiah Accomplishment!!!

It's a news flash of epic proportions! Stop the presses! Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye! Though not a single reader has offered up an answer to my challenge from a couple weeks ago to provide a single accomplishment that shows Barack Obama is ready to be President, I have found one myself. Brace yourself, because it's a biggie. Are you ready for the Obamessiah's one accomplishment? Here it is...

He brought sex education to kindergarteners in Illinois.

Hey, what a great qualification! Okay, in all seriousness, let's take a look at what happened. It started with a McCain ad:

Obviously, the Obama campaign went ballistic. They called the ad 'shameful', and said it was simply a matter of teaching kindergarteners to protect themselves from sexual predators. The problem is that their protestation is simply untrue. Unfortunately for them, the ad was factually true, and Obama had even bragged about it to a Planned Parenthood audience:

Even more damning is a look at the text of the bill itself. You'll see that the bill was amended specifically to change the lower grade limit of the sex education from 6th grade to kindergarten. Other changes include the removal of emphasis on such outdated (in liberals' minds) concepts as heterosexual marriage, monogamous marriage, abstinence, and the psychological ramifications of teen pregnancy.

Byron York, after an examination of the bill's text, concludes the following:

The fact is, the bill’s intention was to mandate sex education, especially concerning contraception and the prevention of sexually-transmitted diseases, for children before the sixth grade and as early as kindergarten. Obama’s defenders may howl, but the bill is what it is.

It is also interesting, as Yuval Levin points out, that no one seemed to get angry about this when it was reported over a year ago by ABC. It simply hurts now because people are paying close attention in this crunch time of Presidential politics.

So, as much as the Obamessiah may whine and cry about it -- and despite the MSM's wholesale acceptance of his pseudo-explanation -- the facts are the facts. The truth hurts when you're trying to hide from it.

So, we cannot now say that the Obamessiah doesn't have a single major accomplishment to his name. He mandated sex ed for kindergarteners.

I stand corrected.
