Are We In An Alternate Universe??

I'm seriously beginning to wonder if we're living in some kind of alternate universe where logic, reason, and consequence were never invented. Gateway Pundit, a fellow Missouri blogger, has a group of stories that are simply unbelievable...

Case in Point #1: Obama is Pro-Life
Despite having a 100% NARAL rating, despite having a voting record that is 100% in favor of every kind of abortion at any time of the pregnancy for any reason, despite supporting infanticide, Barack the Obamessiah is now being portrayed as pro-life:

In case you forgot, this is Barack Obama in his own words defending the slaughter of a baby born alive after surviving an abortion:

"Essentially adding an additional doctor who then has to be called in an emergency situation to come in and make these assessments is really designed simply to burden the original decision..."

Obama claimed that having doctors help a baby born alive after a botched abortion would be a burden. At the time he was arguing against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act at the Illinois state legislature April 2002.

But, that didn't stop faithful (and dishonest) Obama devotees of creating a "Pro-Life Obama" website!
This is stunning in its dishonesty.
CBN News reported:

Barack Obama may be pro-choice, but don't tell that to the Matthew 25 Network. They are a PAC supporting Barack Obama for president and they believe his policies are definitely pro-life.

The Democratic Party has been making this pro-life case for a long time now, not just with Obama, but with Democrats who want to see abortion reduced in this country. They don't want to get hung up on Roe v. Wade. The Web site lays out their case in a succinct and pretty easy to understand way.

But this Web site is going to tick off the pro-life community because this is pretty in your face. Calling Obama "pro-life" won't go down well with conservative Evangelicals. Additionally, it will be really interesting to see the fallout and reaction from this, especially from the McCain campaign.

Case in Point #2: New Obama Seal
Some other Obamessiah followers have fashioned a new seal, this one with the Islamic crescent and star on it:

Um...does anyone remember 9/11? Personally, I find this to be in extraordinarily bad taste, but I don't suppose the Obots will find anything at all wrong with it.

Case in Point #3: Another Democrat scandal that's being ignored

Since Speaker Pelosi took over the Swamp in 2006 her husband Paul Pelosi has continued paying his real estate firm with her PAC money.
Speaker Pelosi supported banning this practice of paying a spouse with political donations last year.

Pelosi criticised Tom Delay for putting his wife on his campaign and PAC payroll.
The Washington Times reported:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has directed nearly $100,000 from her political action committee to her husband's real estate and investment firm over the past decade, a practice of paying a spouse with political donations that she supported banning last year.

Financial Leasing Services Inc. (FLS), owned by Paul F. Pelosi, has received $99,000 in rent, utilities and accounting fees from the speaker's "PAC to the Future" over the PAC's nine-year history.

The payments have quadrupled since Mr. Pelosi took over as treasurer of his wife's committee in 2007, Federal Election Commission records show. FLS is on track to take in $48,000 in payments this year alone - eight times as much as it received annually from 2000 to 2005, when the committee was run by another treasurer.

Lawmakers' frequent use of campaign donations to pay relatives emerged as an issue in the 2006 election campaigns, when the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal gave Democrats fodder to criticize Republicans such as former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay of Texas and Rep. John T. Doolittle of California for putting their wives on their campaign and PAC payrolls for fundraising work.

Case in Point #4: Obama campaign holds illegal voter drive in Muslim mosques!

Wow!... You can't even do this in Iraq!

The Obama Campaign is holding several illegal "Get Out the Muslim Vote" Drives at swing state mosques this week!

Now you can go to Eid Celebrations and sign up to vote for Obama at the same time!!

Central Ohioans Against Terrorism is reporting that Muslim Americans for Obama has announced a series of "get out the vote" events at mosques in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and Ohio this week during Ramadan celebrations.

The announcement was posted at the Asian Americans for Obama website:

They are asking volunteers to please wear the appropriate clothing.
These "get out the vote" events flagrantly violate the tax exempt status of these participating mosques which are strictly prohibited from supporting or endorsing any kind of partisan political activity.

Central Ohioans Against Terrorism has a list of the mosques that will be holding the illegal voter registration drives this week.

More... Ohio Obama supporters are dragging homeless people off the streets in to vote.

It figures... The Iraqi Parliament just banned using mosques during election times:

...The law includes a provision that allocates 25 percent of the seats to women and a prohibition on the use of mosques, pictures of clerical leaders and government institutions during the campaign season.

But, they don't have Barack Obama on the ballot.

Dar al Hijra in VA - is the same mosque that two of the 9/11 hijackers attended. Their former imam, Anwar Al-Aulaqi, is wanted by the FBI for questioning related to the assistance he rendered to 9/11 terrorists.

Have you now joined me in the alternate universe where logic, reason, and consequence have never existed??

Some of these actions are merely distasteful, and while Obama may not be performing them, he doesn't appear to be stopping them, either. However, some of them are blatantly illegal, and are cause for prosecution! Again I say: where is the outrage from the grass roots? Where are the investigations? Where are the inquiries? Where are the special investigators and the air-dropped army of dirt diggers?

For all you Obots out there: how do you explain this from your party and your candidate? Granted, the GOP has plenty of its own problems, but at least we clean our own house rather than lie and cover-up! Please enlighten me, because I can't figure out how you can sleep at night with this garbage from your political leadership! I'd be livid if this was happening in my party. Do you truly not hold your leaders to any sort of moral (or legal) accountability or ethical standards??
