Housekeeping For The Week

Assuming all goes well, our family will be getting one bundle of joy larger this week. As such, I will likely be away from the keyboard much more than normal, maybe completely. We'll see how things go. It's possible that I might have some late-night time to hit the headlines, but I'll have to take it day by day.

In addition to the stories I've already posted about Obamacare, I have promised a load of links and additional information on Obama's government takeover of health care, so I'm going to schedule those posts to come out over the next few days. You'll find everything you could possibly want to know about this plan, what's at stake, and how it's being spun.

I keep seeing conflicting reports about when a vote will be taken on it - Obama and the Democrat leadership know their support is slipping so they are pushing to get it as soon as possible, but the GOP and some conservative Dems are pushing back, raising questions and wanting answers and debate.

Whether a vote happens in the next couple of weeks or not, this is an issue that is absolutely critical to the health and well-being of both the American economy and your family. So, it's well worth your time to take a few minutes to read up on what's at stake, and then to place a couple phone calls to your Senators and Representative to let them know what you think about it. The key to whether the government will successfully take over the American health care system rests squarely on the shoulders of an informed and engaged public. That means you, and everyone else you know, so pass the information along.

I'll blog on other subjects as time allows over the next few days, and hopefully be back into the swing of things -- though undoubtedly less rested! -- in a week or so.
