Was That Past Tense?!

Did you know that the economy has been rescued already? That's right, it's all done. The recovery is complete, finished, and wrapped up.

Oh, you didn't know that? Well, that's apparently what Barack Obama thought, and said in a speech. John Boehner rightfully blasts that ludicrous idea:

Some reminders:
The US lost over 3 million jobs in the first six months of this year under the Obama Administration. The US unemployment rate rose from 7.6% to 9.7% under Obama... the highest rate in 26 years.

And:

…and from where I’m sitting this administration has made things worse, and if cap-and-trade and health care rationing are passed they’ll get still worse yet. And it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that this would be the case; the executive and legislative branches of the government are dominated by people with the avowed desire to take energy out of the system, rather than put more in. That this results in less energy available overall - the technical term is ‘poverty’ - is an inevitable result.
Some recovery, huh?

I'm not sure how anyone could possibly think that the economy has been recovered. It'll be interesting to see if the Kool-Aid soaked media picks up this line, or if it's too much of a stretch even for them.

This is inexcusable and offensively dishonest, even for the Obama administration. And, it shows how desperate they are to claim success and justification for their next step in re-making America.

There's my two cents.
