The Coming Republican Leadership

It's good to hear the right things coming from the new Republican leadership. First, let's look at the new RNC chair, Michael Steele, on the subject of the three RINOs who enabled the Obamessiah's horrifically bad economic non-stimulus 'stimulus' bill:

Gateway Pundit observes that the voters of those states (Maine, Pennsylvania) were waiting for this. I'm not quite as confident - the GOP voters in those states have kept all three of them in office despite their track record of supporting the donkeys more often than not. I certainly hope they'll be sent packing, but it still remains to be seen. The point here, though, is that the RNC appears to be genuinely focused on bringing back fiscal conservatism, and is willing to help challengers who fit the bill against old-timer RINOs. Very good news, indeed!

Next, take a look at Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal at a press conference of Governors. He sums up in two minutes the bulk of what was wrong with the Theft/Pork bill:

Yes, this is why Republicans are crazy about him. He is very intelligent without sounding elitist, his numbers and facts are at the ready, his speaks simply and effectively, and he encapsulates the issue completely but quickly, and in a way that really frames the debate.

Combined with his track record of proven conservatism and anti-corruption, Jindal would be an outstanding candidate for higher office in 2012. We can only hope he'll step forward.

There's my two cents.
