Global Warming Causes Everything...Literally

***Originally posted on 11/30/07***

I confess to a significant amount of glee in reporting this, the mother of all global warming debunkers!

Christopher Alleva posts on American Thinker about Dr. John Brignell, a British engineering professor who runs a website called numberwatch. One of the things he has chronicled is all -- yes, ALL -- of the things that have been 'caused' by global warming. At this time, there are over 600 links to articles reporting the things supposedly causing global warming, but I'm sure that number will continue to grow. Here's just a small sampling:

Agricultural land increase, Africa devastated, African aid threatened, Africa hit hardest, air pressure changes, Alaska reshaped, allergies increase, Alps melting, Amazon a desert, American dream end, amphibians breeding earlier (or not), ancient forests dramatically changed, animals head for the hills, Antarctic grass flourishes, anxiety, algal blooms, archaeological sites threatened, Arctic bogs melt, Arctic in bloom, Arctic lakes disappear, asthma, Atlantic less salty, Atlantic more salty, atmospheric defiance, atmospheric circulation modified, attack of the killer jellyfish, avalanches reduced, avalanches increased
And that's just the "A"s...! I especially love the direct contradictions like 'Atlantic less salty' and 'Atlantic more salty'. Go check out the entire list, it's priceless! :)

Be honest...is it really possible that global warming could be causing all of these things, especially the contradictions like the Atlantic's saltiness? No.

Putting all this information together in one place is like hammering a GIANT nail in the coffin of the scientific validity of global warming. And, of course, that prompts the question: if it's not a scientifically valid theory, then what is it?

To environmentalist zealots, it's become a religion; to the rest of us, it's the biggest hoax ever perpetrated.

Why should you care?
You should care because those same environmentalist zealots are constantly pushing for funding for 'green' causes, and that means higher taxes taking your money away from you. Things like the Kyoto Treaty are purely an attempt to take money from wealthy nations and distribute it to poor nations. And, as I've discussed before, environmentalist wackos are largely responsible for the current energy crisis (i.e. dependence on foreign oil) that we're experiencing.

You should care about this a lot because it hits your pocketbook every day.

There's my two cents.
