Ooooookaaaaay. First of all, his reference to Iraq being anything but the biggest issue a year ago is just plain stupid. The surge -- which he opposed -- had already seen tremendous results, and the war was winding down, even a year ago.
Even more importantly, from watching this video, you might possibly maybe just barely get the impression that Obama isn't too dreadfully concerned about the major economic concerns faced by millions of Americans who have seen their jobs evaporate and their life savings cut in half since Obama's been running the show. He specifically pokes fun at the auto industry, giving himself quite a laugh at their expense (makes you wonder if he knows something we don't yet know, doesn't it?)!
The point is that if he was truly concerned about the problems facing Americans of all economic levels, why would he be sitting there with a giant dopey grin on his face and yucking it up at the serious questions posed by Steve Kroft? Kroft is apparently so surprised by his cavalier attitude that he even asks if the President is 'punch-drunk'!
In related news, Gallup has released a new poll showing that Obama's job approval has now dropped to an even 50-50, probably because of gaffes just like this one.
I guess this is what happens when Teleprompter is left in its box.
There's my two cents.
