A President Must Keep His Priorities Straight

Yesterday... U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, spoke on the Senate Floor delivering a detailed review of the Obama administration’s proposed plans to gut the Department of Defense (DoD) budget.

Meanwhile... Obama signed his controversial Youth Brigades Bill on Tuesday. The bill increased domestic troop strength from 70,000 to 250,000.

In March the Senate voted to allow ACORN funding in the Youth Brigades Bill.

Mary Katharine Ham observes:

Another one of those "tough choices"— paying out $5.7 billion of your money to increase "vounteerism." Hmm, volunteering for money? Where I come from, they call that "working..."

Yeah, me too.

And remember, they're not only talking about forcing every child into this 'volunteer' program, but they're also going to prohibit any mention of faith or religion there, too.

For some vicious and devastatingly effective critiques of this entire concept, go here. Suffice it to say that the unconstitutionality alone should prevent this abomination from becoming law, but there are a multitude of other reasons, as well.

Too bad constitutionality and reason don't matter to the Obamessiah and his liberal Democrat friends in Congress.
