Is This The Dam Bursting?

The media is essentially a state-run propaganda wing for the Democrat party, and has fawned and groveled at Barack Obama's feet ever since his speech at the DNC in 2004. They've ignored things that would have been scandals for other politicians, and they've mercilessly attacked anyone who utters a disparaging word about him. Actually, they've mercilessly attacked anyone who's bothered to merely ask a question about him. The Hollywood Left is similarly in love.

So, it is with a pretty significant amount of surprise that I saw SNL had done a sketch making fun of The Obamessiah. The impression is pretty shabby, but the content is dead on:

For SNL to spoof on Obama like this is a major sign of cracks in the liberal facade. Don't think that the ranks have broken; this is merely a signal that the Left is as frustrated with Obama's lack of accomplishment as the Right is with everything he has done.

Still, it is with equal parts amusement and astonishment that I saw that the Left felt the need to fact-check the SNL sketch!!! Watch:

Okay, now that you've picked yourself up off the floor from laughing so hard, let's stop and think about this for a moment. Never mind the facts of Obama's actual life or ideology, his mentors growing up or his education...but the SNL sketch poking fun at him? IT MUST BE DISCREDITED!!!

But it's not just SNL. Jon Stewart has made a number of comments on his show in recent weeks, and now we see Conan pile on:

Is this the dam bursting? Has the star-struck lover's dance between Obama and the media/Hollywood Left ended? Eh, I doubt it. This is merely a lover's tiff. But, it's tremendously entertaining to watch.

It's the truth that makes it funny, no?
