Don't think your phone call won't have an effect.  It is precisely this kind of effort (led by NumbersUSA) that killed the comprehensive amnesty bill last summer.  If you don't remember, there were so many people calling in with just a few words against it that the Capitol switchboard was overwhelmed and shut down.  This is the effect that millions of Americans can have.  All it will take, literally, is two or three minutes.  If you care at all about stopping illegal immigration, securing our borders, providing better-paying jobs to American workers, and all of these other components of the issue, please take just a moment out of your day to call both your Senators and your Representative.  Do it in the car, do it over lunch, do it on your smoke break, do it during naptime.  Just do it.
