Hello! If you're a regular reader, you may notice some subtle changes to this blog - I've done some rearranging on the right side of the page!
Under the logo, you'll still see two recently added features that will remain for the duration of the Obama administration: the 2Cents mantra and a countdown timer. They just make me feel better.
Next is where the changes start. Instead of a lengthy list of core principles, I've now created a series of labels, each of which contains all of the blog posts I've done on that particular core principle. What's that you say? What are core principles? Well, in my mind, these are the most important issues of the day, some of the biggest political hot buttons, if you will, and things that we as conservatives need to be ready to converse about on a moment's notice. So, when you click the new core principles links, you should get a list of those blog posts that I've done in the past regarding that principle. This won't be a comprehensive list of all blog posts about the topic, just the posts that I think most fully explore the core principle behind the topic. Make sense? By the way, just because I haven't deemed a certain issue a core principle doesn't mean it's not important...I've only got so much time, so I probably just haven't gotten to it yet!
The contact info is still the same - I want to make it as simple as possible for you to contact your members of government.
Next, I've re-swizzled my political link lists. You'll now see a Daily Must-Reads list to start things off. I put two kinds of links in this list. First is the personalities who drive the conservative movement (in my opinion). These are the people and/or websites that really get to the core of the issues, the people who form and guide opinion, and who are on the forefront of the battle between liberalism and conservatism. These are the people who stand toe to toe with the mainstream media and win. These are the big dogs on our side. The second type of links on this list are sites I read daily because their content is outstanding. To my knowledge, all have been cited repeatedly by the front-line personalities with whom they share this list, so they also fall into the 'big dog' category. If you have 19 minutes to spend reading about the news of the day, I'd recommend spending 1 minute on each of these sites - you'll get a nutshell of everything that's important going on that day.
Following that is a great list of additional resources. I've looked at all of these sites at one time or another, though I don't visit most of them daily. Some of these are just references, but many are topical, and they have tremendous usefulness on those topics. If you want to drill down further into an issue, these are great resources to have handy.
Next you'll see a list of sites, all of which I've personally communicated with more than once. Thus, in my little corner of the blogosphere, these are friends of mine. :)
So, those are the changes. I hope they make it easier for you to access the information found in this blog and share it with others. Feel free to drop me a comment with your feedback (positive or negative) - I'd love to hear from you!
