Happy Easter!!!

Luke 24
The Resurrection

1(A)But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.

2And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb,

3but when they entered, they did not find the body of (B)the Lord Jesus.

4While they were perplexed about this, behold, (C)two men suddenly (D)stood near them in dazzling clothing;

5and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living One among the dead?

6"He is not here, but He (E)has risen Remember how He spoke to you (F)while He was still in Galilee,

7saying that (G)the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."

8And (H)they remembered His words,

9and returned from the tomb and reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.

Today is the day we Christians celebrate Easter. It is the most important day of the year in terms of our faith because it is the day that Jesus Christ, through the power of God the Father, rose from the dead, conquering sin and death. As such, His sacrifice -- taking on our sins despite being perfect Himself, and dying in our place for those sins -- opened wide the door to salvation for anyone who would receive the gift of His grace. We have but to accept that gift from God, and our eternity in Heaven is assured.

If you feel a calling to take this step, find a Christian family member, friend, or acquaintance to discuss this with. Find a pastor or priest. Contact me. Just don't let another day go by without acting on this calling.

Easter is truly a cause for joy, so celebrate it!
