A blogger by the name of Arthur Chrenkoff has compiled a huge repository of the good news that has come about from the War on Terror (specifically in Iraq). This is also linked through the Wall Street Journal here. There are literally hundreds of pages here (maybe more) detailing polls, studies, events, and other information about all the good things that are happening over there. I can't possibly even begin to summarize it all (not that I've even been able to read a large percentage of it), so you'll have to go look for yourself. It's incredible. These things include our troops opening schools and hospitals, rebuilding infrastructure, and passing out toys/clothes/food to Iraqi civilians, as well as the first free Iraqi elections in decades, and progress on their own Constitution.
I've heard numerous calls on talk radio shows, as well as read stories in lots of places indicating incredible frustration from soldiers about this lack of reporting on the good things they're doing. Why would soldiers sign up for repeated tours of duty if they didn't believe that what they were doing was truly helping the Iraqi people and making us safer at the same time? Because it doesn't match the MSM's beliefs (see previous blogs about the New York Times) about what's going on, so they don't report it.
There's my two cents.
