Who's Torturing Now?

In a Washington Post article over the weekend, a quiet controversy has been stirred up by the continued discussions of closing the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay.

The key point of contention is that Democrats are concerned that if we close the facility, we'll end up sending a bunch of these terrorists back to their home countries where they might be tortured.

Huh?! I thought WE were supposedly torturing them at Gitmo!

What does this mean? It means that even the Democrats in Congress know that we're treating those terrorists very, very well, and they're just using the "T" word as a political hot-button. But, if we send them back to their home (i.e. third world) countries, they will actually undergo real, legitimate torture that might actually involve more than being tired and listening to -- gulp -- rock music.

There's my two cents.
