It looks like the Senate has voted down the amendment that would have stripped immunity out of the new FISA wiretapping bill. National security wins -- and thus, so does America -- although there were 41 Senators who thought otherwise. I would point out that only one Republican voted against national security on this bill (Arlen Specter, who's just about the biggest RINO in the Senate), but almost all of the Democrats opposed it.
So, remind me again - which party is it that we trust to protect our country?
In any case, it's one down, two to go...
