Congress Once Again Out Of Touch

This is tremendously good news:

Al Gore’s side may be coming to power in Washington, but they appear to be losing the battle on the idea that humans are to blame for global warming.

Forty-four percent (44%) of U.S. voters now say long-term planetary trends are the cause of global warming, compared to 41% who blame it on human activity.

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Democrats blame global warming on human activity, compared to 21% percent of Republicans. Two-thirds of GOP voters (67%) see long-term planetary trends as the cause versus 23% of Democrats. Voters not affiliated with either party by eight points put the blame on planetary trends.

In July 2006, 46% of voters said global warming is caused primarily by human activities, while 35% said it is due to long-term planetary trends.

In April of last year, 47% of Americans blamed human activity versus 34% who viewed long-term planetary trends as the culprit. But the numbers have been moving in the direction of planetary trends since then.

As you can see, this hoax idea that humanity is somehow causing the slow destruction of the planet has lost a lot of traction over the past few months. I believe that is because more and more people are turning away from the liberal media to get their factual news, and understand that there is a political agenda rather than science driving environmental alarmism. This is what can happen with a concentrated and determined grass roots effort by bloggers, new media types, and individual people one-on-one with family and friends. Keep it up!

Isn't it interesting that Democrats subscribe to humanity as the cause by almost three to one? What does that say about Democrats' ability (or willingness) to ignore facts and instead assign blame based on sensationalism? Hmm...

The bad news, of course, is that the incoming radical Left government is even further -- MUCH further -- to the Left than the Democrat base, and is chugging full speed ahead on massive, oppressive legislation to combat the hoax of man-made climate change.

It's going to be one of the big battles we face in the next few months, but with an informed and angry American public, it is one we can win. For the sake of our children and grandchildren, it's one that we
must win. Just know that you're not alone...in fact, you're in the majority.

There's my two cents.
