Caterpillar Sets Obama Straight

Earlier this week, Obama spoke at a Caterpillar plant and promised that if the Generational Theft Act/Porkapalooza bill passed, Caterpillar would re-hire some of the 22,000 workers that were just laid off.

Small problem: that wasn't true.

The reason? The 'stimulus' is a little light on the heavy construction, and it'll be a while before even that kicks in.

Can there be any better confirmation of the fact that Obama says whatever he feels like saying, and that the media -- outside of Jake Tapper and the new media -- simply accept every single word without the faintest thought of simple fact-checking?

Nope.
