Obama Competes With The Goracle

It has been well established that Al Gore is a gigantic hypocrite when it comes to walking his own talk. President Obama appears to be giving him a run for the money (h/t Ace of Spades):

When you're the president of the United States, only the best pizza will do - even if that means flying a chef 860 miles.

Chris Sommers, 33, jetted into Washington from St Louis, Missouri, on Thursday with a suitcase of dough, cheese and pans to prepare food for the Obamas and their staff.

He had apparently been handpicked after the President had tasted his pizzas on the campaign trail last autumn.

This clearly violates one of the cardinal sins of the Green Religion: Sommers is being flown in on a jet! We all know those nasty ol' jets are the worst polluters in the world, right? And aren't they being ostracized and condemned in every corner of Washington right now? Oh, that's right, it's only eeeeeeevil to use them if it's done by executives of private formerly private companies like GM and Chrysler.

On top of the environmental sins, though, hypocrisy abounds. Obama intones before the TV cameras the need for Americans to sacrifice and tighten their belts. Um...Mr. President, how exactly is this a good example of sacrificing and belt-tightening? Or are you just admitting that there are two sets of rules?

Shameful.

Or, it would be, if there was any shame left in our government. Speaking of which, where are the Republicans pointing out this ridiculous waste? Isn't this all happening on taxpayer money? Who's pointing out the waste there?
