Oops...A Dem Accidentally Tells The Truth

John Dingell, the longest-serving Democrat in the House, accidentally told the truth in an interview where he was supposed to be defending DemCare (emphasis mine):

Let me remind you this has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you're going to pass legislation that will cover 300 American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.

Hmmm...veeeeery interesting...

Well, one has to admit the honesty is refreshing, but this should raise eyebrows (and blood pressure) in every American with a pulse.  The Right has been saying this is all about control for over a year now, and Dingell just confirmed it.  A lot of Americans know it, too, as is obvious from looking at the consistent huge opposition to DemCare in every poll out there for months upon months.  Robert P. Kirchhoefer at American Spectator explains the central conflict:

Control the people.

That is not why the huddled masses yearning to breathe free left the oppression of Europe -- to be controlled. Control is not an American principle. It is, in fact, anathema to American principles-- and so is anyone who believes it.

Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress are blatantly governing against the will of the people -- and in a way that is fundamentally against the DNA of all that is American -- in an outright attempt to control us.

We already knew this, but now it's been confirmed from the inside.

There's my two cents.
