A central part of the DemCare plan is to give every American health insurance similar to the current Medicaid program. Unfortunately, people in Tennessee can tell you it's a disastrous idea, as they tried it in the mid-1990s and saw a 146% increase in cost and a decline in the quality of care. Yeah, that'll work well on a national scale, don't you think? It's like the car dealership that claimed they lose money on every car, but they'd make it up in volume.
Now, what's the deal with this reconciliation business? Well, if you haven't checked out my previous attempt to explain this, you might want to do that first. Now that you're caught up, listen to Rush Limbaugh as he addresses the reconciliation head fake and why it will be so difficult to repeal DemCare if it becomes law:
Excellent stuff! So, while repeal is a critical Plan B to have, the simple fact is that once DemCare goes into law, it may very well be unrepealable in its entirety. The Dems know this; that's why they are calculating that it's worth a November slaughter for gaining permanent control over your health care. That's why the best option we've got is to prevent it from ever becoming law in the first place.
As Limbaugh said, the real key is House Democrats. Gear up for some phone calls to your House Rep -- especially if they're a Dem -- because this thing is coming to a close soon one way or another.
