Where's Their 'Skin'?

'Everybody's gonna' have to have some skin in the game'. Really, Mr. President? You mean like this from Debbie Schlussel:

As I've written over and over again on this site, the Obamas have no sense of decency or self-discipline. They just don't have any sensitivity to what the rest of America is going through. And they're not the "regular people" the press keeps telling us that they are.

President Obama whines on about and rails against high salaries and perks of CEOs and tells us all we must tighten our belts. Yet, he sends his kids to a school that costs him about $55,000 a year (where they dine on roast Atlantic salmon and cheese and crackers), and Mrs. Obama just hired a hifalutin designer to re-decorate the White House residence to the tune of $100,000.

But their latest purchase in this era of tough times for most other Americans is the new swing set the Obamas bought their daughters, to the tune of $3,500 plus.

Doesn't seem like the Obamas have much of their own skin in the game, does it?

Schlussel also posts an update that the swingset may have cost as much as $10,000, but that's really a moot point. The bottom line here is that Obama is saying one thing and doing another. It's classic liberalism, with two sets of rules.

It's too bad this liberalism is running the country now. We're just about to see how far apart those two sets of rules really are.
