Iran's Response To Terrorist Label

Iran's response to the U.S. recently classifying their elite military corps (the Revolutionary Guard) as a terrorist organization is a combination of pride and bluster. Powerline.com posts a quote from Iran's top cleric, Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami, saying that he considers the classification a compliment.

Similarly, Brietbart.com posts an AP story that shows considerable defiance on Iran's part, saying they would "punch" back at the U.S.

My first thought is that we should not be surprised. This is the mentality of typical radical Islamic regimes all over the world - they hate the U.S., and our lack of action on years of terrorist attacks makes them think they have little to fear from us. My second thought is simply this: they didn't deny their involvement; instead, they're proud of it, and promising more.

Pay attention to this - it's only going to get bigger and bigger as time and events move forward.

There's my two cents.
