Newark Mayor Protecting Illegal Criminals

Last night, Bill O'Reilly did a segment on his cable TV show about how the Mayor of Newark, NJ, Cory Booker, is protecting illegal alien criminals. Here's the short version:

In a press conference regarding the executed college students earlier this month, Booker said, "[l]ocal law enforcement officials should not be going out, asking, inquiring and investigating as to whether people are documented or undocumented immigrants. It creates an environment in which local law enforcement officials will not have active conduits about information about crime that's going on to create a chill in which often the most marginalized and vulnerable citizens in my city do not feel comfortable engaging with the police. It's an environment that I will never tolerate as long as I'm mayor."

O'Reilly takes Booker to task, pointing out that Jose Carranza, one of the illegal aliens arrested for the murders, has multiple arrests on his record, including child rape. Rudolfo Godinez, another alleged murderer, had a green card despite multiple prior convictions on his record. These men could both have been deported after a single conviction, but obviously that did not happen. Why? Because Newark's local law enforcement didn't report them to federal authorities.

And now three college students are dead, a fourth in the hospital.

This is not an isolated incident. Remember the Fort Dix Six? Three of the six were illegal aliens, and between them they had 75 prior run-ins with the law. The authorities in Cherry Hill, NJ didn't notify federal authorities, so they were not arrested and deported. Thankfully, we'll never know how many Americans would have been killed or injured by these illegal alien terrorists due to the alertness of a Circuit City clerk, who reported them.

O'Reilly suggested that a federal law should be passed that requires local authorities to notify ICE of all arrests of illegal aliens, and I think that would be a great solution.

I hope you're angry about this - you should be. What we have here is elected law enforcement officials deliberately protecting illegal aliens who are convicted criminals rather than American citizens. Call your mayor and see what their reaction is; you may be surprised.

There's my two cents.
