Pakistan, Bali, And Other Shady Dealings

Here's this morning's update for you:

Musharraf ends emergency rule
Pakistan's President recently ended his emergency rule and the suspension of the constitution.  Elections are coming soon, but are widely expected to be rigged.  He has stacked the courts with friendly judges, so his new presidential term is likely sealed and delivered, and his political opposition hasn't yet been able to mount a cohesive effort to force Musharraf to resign.  Just keeping you updated.

Bali conference: Wait until Bush is gone
The much-hyped global Bali climate conference ended like it began: worthless.  The only thing that came out of it (other than a monstrously huge carbon footprint) was the decision to wait two years before trying again for a global standard.  The reason?  Bush and the United States refused to give in to the global warming fanatics who simply want the U.S. to pay up.  Thank God!!!  This is yet one more reason to pay attention to the next presidential election - all of the Democrats and some of the Republicans are likely to go along with this stupid idea, and that will cost you big-time!

Clintons shielding wealth from taxes
You know how the Clintons are always running around talking about how rich they are, and about how they feel they should be paying more taxes because they're rich?  Well, guess what?  They're shielding their wealth from taxes by using offshore accounts.  What?  The Clintons think the rest of America should do something they're not doing?  No!  Say it ain't so...

Holy Land Foundation trial was rigged
I blogged a while ago about the biggest terrorist funding trial in U.S. history.  The Holy Land Foundation has been accused of funneling money to Hamas, and hundreds of other Islamic organizations (including CAIR) have been named in the suit.  The trial ended with a hung jury...and now we know why.  One of the jurors is a Hamas supporter, and lied his way onto the jury (presumably to throw the trial).  Prosecution is considering perjury charges against the man.  It's no wonder these Islamic groups got off!  Let's hope the re-trial goes more cleanly, and they get dismantled as they should be.

There's my two cents.
