Quick Hits Tuesday Edition

There's all kinds of stuff going on, so I'm going to post a special Tuesday Edition of the Quick Hits. Here you go:

Quick Hit #1: When is a hate crime not a hate crime?
When the victim is white. Or a Christian. Take a look...

Part 1: A black mob assaulted a white homeless person on a bus in Baltimore, calling her and her boyfriend "white crackers" and "white m-f-ers". They apparently beat her so severely that they broke bones in her face, bruised her ribs, and caused head wounds that had to be stapled. There is no indication of the suspects being charged with a 'hate crime'. Never mind the fact that the same city officials jumped all over the recent noose incident that turned out to be a hoax...

Part 2: A Boston firefighter was ambushed by a mob of Hispanic males who told him they "don't want any gringo here". Police are not classifying the incident as racially fueled. Hm..."gringo"...there are no racial overtones there, right?

Part 3: Over the weekend a madman who 'hated Christians' went on a rampage at a mega-church in Colorado, killing four and wounding several others. How was he stopped? By an armed security guard who shot him, prematurely ending his rampage. This is the farce of gun control laws - they only keep guns out of the hands of law-abiding people; criminals will get them anyway. To allow law-abiding citizens to pack heat is a very effective deterrent for crime, as well as a protection against crime as it happens. By the way, the number of victims in this church is higher than all of the 'hate crimes' against Muslims in the six years since 9/11. Hate crimes are nothing more than a politically-driven attempt to CONTROL people and what they think.

Quick Hit #2: Iran seeking nuclear weapons in 2004.
The head of the Ukrainian secret service said that in 2004 the Iranian regime had been 'pestering' Ukraine for access to its post-Soviet nuclear technology. Could it be that Iran stopped its program in 2003, then picked it back up in 2004? Nah, that couldn't possibly happen...Iran wouldn't lie about their activities, would they?

Quick Hit #3: Taxing babies for global warming.
A West Australian medical expert proposes that every family having a baby pay a tax of over $5,000, plus an annual carbon tax of another $800 per child. There's a problem here - if women begin sterilizing themselves to prevent pollution, how can they pay a baby tax to prevent pollution? Oh, no, what to do...?!

Quick Hit #4: Ignoring Iran's danger like ignoring the Nazis.
Israel's Minister Yitzhak Cohen is warning that America's ignorance of the dangers presented by Iran are reminiscent of how the West ignored the dangers of Nazi Germany. Pointing out the controversy around the recent NIE report, he encourages continued pressure on Iran. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it...

Quick Hit #5: No more dollar.
Iran has stopped trading oil in American dollars, calling it unreliable. This could be partly in response to financial sanctions led by the U.S., but I wonder if they're anticipating another major attack on America, and thus another financial hit...?

Quick Hit #6: Israel: come home!
Israel is trying to persuade many of its 600,000 citizens living abroad to come home for the 60th anniversary celebration next year. Though leaving the country has traditionally been looked down upon, this program is partly designed to remove that stigma. This is important because one of the signals that the major war (Russia-Iran-Arabs vs. Israel per Rosenberg's Epicenter) is coming is that Israelis come back home in record numbers. Just wanted you to be aware.

There's my two cents.
