The leader of more than a billion Roman Catholics suggested that fears over man-made emissions melting the ice caps and causing a wave of unprecedented disasters were nothing more than scare-mongering.While some will surely criticize his remarks as anti-science, his stance is just the opposite. He is saying that global warming policy should be based on scientific fact, not the lunatic theology that has become 'global warming'.
The German-born Pontiff said that while some concerns may be valid it was vital that the international community based its policies on science rather than the dogma of the environmentalist movement.
I couldn't put it better myself! It's good to hear someone take a sane approach to the issue, and to address the fact that this has become a religion to some people.
There's my two cents.
