Today's The Day!

I cast my vote on the way to work this morning...when will you cast yours?

For those of you in Kansas City, it may look ugly out there right now, but the rain is supposed to give way to sleet and snow later this afternoon, so getting wet might be a better option than braving the ice.  The busiest times at the polls are usually over lunch and from 5pm-7pm, so if you want to avoid a line, go outside of those times.

Also, keep in mind that on the ballot (regardless of party) you will probably see a number of candidates who are no longer in the race.  Just because their name is on the ballot doesn't mean that a vote for them counts.  These are your main choices:

Rep
Mick Huckabee
John McCain
Ron Paul
Mitt Romney

Dem
Hillary Clinton
Barack Obama

Finally, you will need some form of identification.  I wish the law required a valid photo ID, but I believe the reality is that you can bring any bill or statement that shows your name and mailing address to 'prove' you are who you say you are.

Let the games begin!  Happy Voting!
