Barack Obama won't rule out celebrating the 4th of July with Iranian regime officials even though the mullahs are slaughtering their own citizens on the streets! Not accurate? That's a load of horse hooey! Hot Air busts this lie:
Major Garrett asked President Obama about the planned meeting between the Obama Administration and the killer Iranian regime on Independence Day:
...this has been Obama’s M.O. all along, dating back to the blowup over Wright during the campaign. First he issues some weak, heavily qualified half-denunciation in hopes that the crisis will go away, then it doesn’t go away and everyone gets angry, then he comes back and covers his ass by saying how appalled or outraged he is or whatever — assuring us all the while that he’s been “perfectly consistent” throughout. And never mind the fact that more Iranian protesters are being killed every day...Obama still wants to have them over to eat hot dogs...on our Independence Day! Is anyone else seeing the irony here?
Greg Gutfield calls Obama the 'Bystander-in-Chief', and it's hard to argue with that after Obama needs yet another second chance to take decisive action. Make no mistake that's what he's done, as Great Britain, France, and the entire EU have soundly condemned Iran while Obama is still hoping for a hot-dog-kumbayah session with them.
It's just hard to get any more dangerously indecisive than this. Must be that (in)experience and supreme (lack of) judgment that we heard so much about during the campaign shining through.
There's my two cents.
***UPDATE***
Barack Obama has now thrown a tantrum over the hot dogs:
The White House has rescinded the invitations to Iranian diplomats to attend July 4 celebrations at U.S. embassies around the world.I'm reminded of my four year old not getting her way on which fast food joint we eat at, stomping her foot, crossing her arms, and wailing that it's not fair that she doesn't get to pick all the time!
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said nobody from Iran RSVPed to come, and at this point, the invitations are no longer valid.
Once again, Obama needs a second chance to withdraw the invitation; it should have been done long ago, not after it became apparent that no one would show up.
