Iowa Results Are In

The results from the Iowa caucuses are in, and here's how things came out:

Republican
1. Mike Huckabee - 34%
2. Mitt Romney - 25%
3. Fred Thompson - 14%

Democrat
1. Barack Obama - 37.53%
2. John Edwards - 29.88%
3. Hillary Clinton - 29.41%

Just watch - the media are probably going to be making all sorts of excuses as to why Hillary, the 'inevitable' candidate, failed to win this event. Mitt Romney will probably be blasted for spending so much money and still losing to Huckabee.

Just keep in mind that this is simply one chapter in the story of the 2008 elections. It's an important first chapter, but don't get too wrapped up in it. Just be aware of what's happening.

Also, two Democrat Senators -- Joseph Biden and Chris Dodd -- have dropped out of the race.
