Cold threatens Florida citrus crop and others
A recent cold spell threatened to destroy Florida's citrus crop, but temperatures didn't get quite low enough to cause widespread damage.  In Daytona Beach it snowed.  Much of the Northeast, mid-Atlantic, the Southeast, the Gulf Coast and the Ohio Valley woke up to sub-freezing temperatures, many schools were closed, and many lost power.  I'm sure the excessive cold temperatures were caused by global warming...after all, everything else is!

Russian scientists warns of cooling trend
A Russian scientist, Oleg Sorokhtin, is urging people to stock up on fur coats and felt boots in anticipation of a cooling trend.  He goes into a lot of detail on what does and does not cause warming on the Earth, but his point is that it's nothing man-made.  Another consensus breaker!

Nanny state invades Europe, Europeans don't like it
The modern 'nanny state' (where government provides everything to everyone) has been perfected in Europe, where they have bans on smoking, air pollution, and even junk food.  In Milan, drivers must purchase an 'ecopass' to enter the city free of charge.  Some people accept these restrictions as reasonable health protections, but many are starting to complain about the infringement on their own freedoms.  PAY ATTENTION TO THIS!!!  This is EXACTLY the same thing that the liberal socialist elite is trying to implement here in America!  We don't have to guess about what will happen if they succeed - we can look at Europe and KNOW what will happen.

More 'honor killings', this time in Dallas?
An Egyptian Muslim man is sought for murdering his two teenage daughters in an 'honor killing'.  Lots of info on the tracking of the case and analysis can be found at the link above.  One quote to point out:

The girls were well-liked and made good grades at Lewisville High School. Their father was strict and rarely let them spend time with friends. When Sarah, 17, recently met a boy at her job, she told a friend that her father would kill her if he found out.

Friends are now rethinking the way they understood that turn of phrase.

There are two problems that are perfectly illustrated here.  First, the fact that Islam is full of brutal and evil practices.  Second, most people in America truly don't understand that Islam is full of brutal and evil practices...until it's too late.  When are we going to wake up and put a stop to the spread of Islam?
