First it was $5,000 of your tax money for every baby born in America. Now it's $1,000 for every American every year in a 401k plan!
This is the latest step forward in Soon-to-be-queen Clinton's quest to socialize America. Her plan is to tax the rich and use that money to match up to $1,000 in savings for Americans earning less than $60,000 per year.
Just a reminder: taking money away from some people and giving it to others based on the subjective whims of the elite is pure socialism!
As if that wasn't bad enough, think a little deeper. For the government to actively control -- that's where this would end up -- the wealth of all Americans, wouldn't they have to know how much everyone makes? Wouldn't they also have to be able to TAKE money from some people and GIVE it to others? Yeah, I know, the IRS already has a lot of that information. But they don't have the control that this program would likely involve. How long is it going to be until we actually sign over our checkbooks to the government? Are Americans really going to become THAT HELPLESS that they willingly turn over the entire control of their own personal finances to the Nanny State?
If that happens, I'm seriously going to consider moving to Australia.
There's my two cents.
