It was another win for the American people! The vote in the House of Reps to override Bush's veto of the SCHIP bill failed by a count of 273-156.
As I mentioned before, a legitimate alternative plan to provide health care coverage for poor children was presented by Republicans this afternoon. Let's wait and see how much press it gets.
In any case, it's good that the House Reps stood strong against the first step toward universal socialist health care.
