The USA Today posts a poll showing some encouraging indicators about this week's impending SCHIP veto battle: 52% of Americans agree agree with President Bush that health care benefits should go to actual children in actual poor families. 55% are concerned that the program would create an incentive for families to drop private insurance.
The only people who have been reporting the reality of this legislation are the new media (primarily talk radio and bloggers). Isn't it incredible how just a little bit of the truth can overcome an overwhelming push by the Democrats and MSM?
Don't let up yet, though - the vote is still two days away, so keep contacting your reps! Let's win this one, too!
There's my two cents.
