The Democrats have begun a new tactic to stall out the war effort, and this one is even slimier than usual.
Dems in the House have introduced a resolution to condemn the government of Turkey for slaughtering 1.5 million Armenians in World War 1 almost 100 years ago.
Yes, you read that right - almost 100 years ago! Here's the kicker - there is absolutely no reason to take this action, because similar resolutions were already passed in 1975 and 1984! The only reason they're doing this now is to purposefully harm relations with the Turkish government. Why?
Because Turkey is a great ally in the Middle East, and one of the primary supply lines of troops and materiel for the war in Iraq.
It is plain to see that the only conceivable reason for this action to be taken now is to hurt the war effort, and it's starting to have an effect: Turkey has announced it is planning to attack some rebel forces in Northern Iraq, showing just how strained relations are with the U.S.
Is there any limit to the depths of depravity our Democrat leaders are willing to sink to in order to undermine the war?
Apparently not.
There's my two cents.
