Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is considering splitting up Jerusalem to achieve 'peace'. Unfortunately for Olmert, this is an abysmally bad idea - his approval rating is just 2% (and you thought Bush's was bad!), and there is a long, long history in Israel of vehement opposition to the idea of splitting the capital city.
One might say the lesson here is that capitulation and surrender is never popular among the people of any sovereign nation.
There's my two cents.
