Every few months, a new eruption occurs between Israel and Palestine. There have been repeated attempts at negotiating a peace between the two, but all have fallen short of success. Recently, there have been talks of Israel giving further concessions to Palestinians, but there is some serious internal debate about whether or not that is a good move.
