In a follow up to my recent post about the events in Pakistan, things are continuing to escalate. Musharraf is proceeding with preparations for an election while Bhutto is pledging to unite his political opposition to oust him from power.
Arrests continue, as does unrest.
Fortunately, the Bush administration has been helping Musharraf protect Pakistan's nuclear weapons. Also, the military has proposed helping Pakistani troops help fight Al Qaeda and the Taliban in a fashion similar to how our forces have addressed similar opposition in Iraq.
Just keeping you posted.
There's my two cents.
