Americans Overwhelmingly Oppose Illegal Alien Driver's Licenses

A new Rasmussen Reports poll shows Americans overwhelmingly oppose giving driver's licenses to illegal aliens.

- 77% of adults are opposed
- just 16% favor the idea

Like illegal immigration itself, this issue spans traditional dividing lines:

- 88% of Republicans oppose
- 68% of Democrats oppose
- 75% of Independents oppose
- there is little difference in gender, age, or income level

Hillary Clintong* has taken the wrong side of this issue (at least for now; she'll probably switch back later), and is in direct opposition to the vast majority of the American people. Will it hurt her in the upcoming election? It's hard to say right now, but the fact that even her own base is against her could signal trouble, especially given her extremely high negative ratings.

We shall see.
